Clamping and fastening workpieces securely - New compact floating clamps by norelem

With a new, very compact model from its own production, norelem is expanding its range of floating clamps for clamping and supporting components at overdetermined clamping points. The new type of floating clamp by norelem is available in two designs. Depending on the application, the standard clamping jaw may be modified or replaced.

In floating clamps, clamping jaws hold the workpiece securely in place by means of spring force, but with a certain degree of flexibility, and support it - This is the reason for floating clamps being used for thin-walled, bend-sensitive workpieces. They also prevent vibrations and deflection during machining, making them ideal for blanks with ridges or parts with complex or irregular shapes. The "floating" fastening of the part allow for freedom of movement required for machining, leads to precise results with sensitive workpieces and minimises clamping errors.
